Mission Statement - Orange Empire SMACNA's mission is to promote the success of our members through education, legislation and sound labor relations.
Purpose - Orange Empire SMACNA's purpose is to advance the sheet metal and air conditioning industry through:

Membership: To conduct, operate and maintain a trade association composed of firms engaged in the fabrication and erection of architectural, industrial, and commercial sheet metal work; heating, ventilating, and air conditioning work.

Meetings & Information Exchange: To arrange for and promote meetings of members of the Association for the interchange of views for their mutual benefit, and to provide members with an effective agency through which to express their collective voice.

Collective Bargaining: To act as the bargaining agent for members who have assigned their bargaining rights to the Association, regarding any agreements between Local Union 105 of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association and such members of this Association.

Labor Relations: To promote sound labor relations on the basis of labor and management cooperation in the public interest.

Industry Connections: To establish harmonious and equitable relations between the members of the Association and Architects, Engineers, Manufacturers, Wholesalers, Suppliers and others concerned or involved in the industry.

Education & Events: To conduct or engage in such activities as research and education for the benefit of the members; to secure and disseminate to members specialized information necessary to the efficient operation of the businesses of the members; and to carry on such other lawful activities as may become expedient for the better protection of the industry and membership.

Training: To cooperate in the establishment and promotion of journeyman and apprenticeship training programs to provide the most highly skilled craftsmen possible.
Goals - Orange Empire SMACNA's goals are outcome-oriented statements that lead us toward our envisioned future as follows:

Goal A: OE SMACNA will be the powerful public policy advocate that advances the sheet metal and air conditioning industry.

Goal B: OE SMACNA will be its members' indispensable resource for education, training and business services.

Goal C: OE SMACNA will be recognized as the industry's and the public's source of information for the sheet metal and air conditioning industry.

Goal D: OE SMACNA will be recognized by the union as a critical partner in the advancement of the industry.
Long-Range Goal: By 2035, Orange Empire SMACNA, in partnership with the local union, will have 40% of the sheet metal industry market share in Southern California.

Form of ownership: OE SMACNA is a non-profit incorporated business league organizied under IRS code 501(c)(6).
Membership: Currently, OE SMACNA has 39 member firms and 14 associate member firms. Click here for a link to our members.
History: OE SMACNA was formed in 1998 as the result of the merger between SMACNA Orange County-Long Beach and Inland Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors Association. The prior organizations date back to the 1950s.
Related Organizations: Orange Empire SMACNA is a local chapter of SMACNA, Inc. (National) and CAL SMACNA (State). Regular Members of Orange Empire SMACNA are also members of the state and national organizations. Orange Empire SMACNA is a founding member of the California Coalition for Construction in the Classroom and represents local testing and balancing contractors as the TABB Affiliate.
